UN Warns Sudan Violence Threatens Aid and Supply Routes

The United Nations has warned that escalating fighting in Sudan’s Kordofan region is threatening civilians as well as humanitarian supply routes.

UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said confrontations between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces have intensified in South Kordofan.

Humanitarian organizations say access routes into Dilling have been disrupted, complicating aid deliveries.

A drone strike on Dilling General Hospital killed at least four patients and injured several civilians, according to reports.

The UN also highlighted continued attacks in El Obeid and growing risks to the road linking it to Kosti — a key route for both humanitarian and commercial supplies.

The UN is urging all sides to protect civilians and allow safe humanitarian access.
