Eddy Kenzo Supports Gravity Omutujju’s Proposal for Bobi Wine to Contribute Land for Hospital Project

In recent developments, rapper Gravity Omutujju has raised concerns about Bobi Wine’s apparent inaction despite advocating for improved services in the country. Gravity urges Bobi Wine, a well-funded artist and influential figure, to take tangible steps to address the inadequacies.

Gravity Omutujju specifically called on Bobi Wine to donate a portion of his land at Busabala Beach for the construction of a hospital, aimed at aiding pregnant women and others in need. The rapper, demonstrating commitment to his proposal, made a personal contribution at Busabala One Love Beach, including two bags of cement, sand, and iron bars.

Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) president, Eddy Kenzo, has thrown his support behind Gravity Omutujju’s initiative. Acknowledging Bobi Wine’s longstanding advocacy for improved healthcare facilities, Eddy Kenzo believes it is appropriate for him to contribute land for the construction of a hospital. Kenzo highlighted the absence of a prompt healthcare facility in Busabala for pregnant women, making such a donation significant.

However, Eddy Kenzo clarified that while they encourage Bobi Wine to fulfill the request, it is not mandatory, and if he chooses not to do so, it would be accepted. The call for philanthropy and social responsibility within the music industry emphasizes the potential positive impact artists can have on their communities.
