Cox Kibedi, a 48-year-old resident residing on Kyanja Ring Road, has been remanded in Luzira until February 2, 2024, facing three charges of cyber harassment. These charges are based on allegations that he shared an explicit video link targeting Agaba Rebecca on Facebook. The case brought him before Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Samuel Kayiizi.

During the court proceedings, Kibede denied the charges, asserting that Facebook operates beyond the jurisdiction of Uganda, rendering the accusations baseless. Despite his denial, the magistrate ordered his remand for further investigations.

This incident is not the first involving Kibede, as records indicate a history of inappropriate behavior towards women dating back to 2021. He stands accused of persistently harassing and verbally abusing women who reject his advances, often resorting to offensive language. Allegations include derogatory labeling of these individuals.
